Saintfield travelled to Billy Neill on sat to face a Tullycarnet side who have moved to the facility this season.
The pitch was in great condition and despite both teams looking to play football unfortunately the strong wind which cut across the pitch at an angle made any flowing football very tricky. Indeed of the 4 goals scored in the match, 3 were heavily influenced by the wind.
Saintfield gave a committed performance but lacked a bit of quality in the final third whilst struggling to adapt to the conditions.
Tullycarnet have an experienced team and they used this experience to manage conditions better than the young saints.
After conceding an early goal Saintfield battled back to level and the first half was a tight affair although a defensive error from a swirling high ball allowed Tullycarnet to take the lead before half time.
The second half was more of the same and although Saintfield played the better football Tullycarnet carried a threat and scored their third to seal the win late on.
